Variable Inlet Pressure (VIP) Compressor
- Compressor for Daughter stations and MRU (Mobile Refuelling Unit) applications
- Pumps 1700m³ph
- 75kw motor
Bison’s Variable Inlet Pressure Compressor has developed from the culmination of 40 years’ experience in CNG compressor design with the latest in valve technology. It delivers unmatched volumes of gas per KW of power and the system’s capacity is almost double that of our major competitors.
Features:
- Unique Tail road design
- Low Oil Carryover Lubrication system (<5ppm)
Benefits of a Bison Lubricated Compressor verses a Non-Lubricated compressor:
Oil Carryover:
A Lubricated compressor lubricates the pistons and Piston rods at a controlled rate. Managing the precise amount of oil required and having sufficient pathways for the removal of excess oil. Bisons lubrication design delivers oil carryover of less than 5ppm if not significantly less down to 2ppm
Non Lubricated machines do not lubricate the Pistons or Piston rods. They still use oil in the crankcase and rely heavily on servicing the seals and rings at high intervals. The blow through of oil from the crankcase is more or equivalent to the Bison Lubricated oil carryover, which is <5ppm
In conclusion the Non Lubricated machine has significantly higher operating costs verses the Lubricated machine, it has the same if not more oil carryover than the Bison Lubricated Compressor
The Bison VIP compressor will deliver twice the amount of gas for the equivalent Non-Lubricated Compressor
Service Costs:
The Bison VIP compressor will have ¼ to a ½ the service cost requirement of a Non-Lubricated machine
Technology:
Bison Compression use new modern Valve technology in their VIP system to seamlessly control the pathways of the gas. This eliminates the complexity of the packaging skid and the elaborate control systems
